Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Carlow
Contract: 9–12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

A global technology organisation operating in the proactive security sector is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its R&D team on a 9–12 month fixed-term contract.

This is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced Agile environment delivering innovative, AI-driven software solutions to international users.

Onsite Requirement:
4–5 days per week onsite during the first 2 months (onboarding period), reducing to 1–2 days per week thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing of new and existing features

• Develop and maintain automated test suites (e.g. Selenium, Playwright)

• Support testing across unit, integration, system, and regression phases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria

• Ensure sprint deliverables meet quality standards

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• 2+ years’ experience in a QA or similar role

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies

• Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright)

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP)

• Strong communication and organisational skills
